Biography

John was born on Deer Isle about 1800, the son of Samuel Trundy and Ann Carey.[1]

In 1817, John married Hannah Small, most likely on Deer Isle. [2]They lived on Deer Isle until at least 1850. In 1840, 3 members of his household were employed in navigation of the ocean. In 1850, his occupation was sailor.[3][4][5][6]

John is mentioned in a memoir of Samuel Nobel, who accompanied John on a fishing trip on his schooner Henry Clay.[7]

John died in Rockland in April, 1860 of palsy.[8]
