"Dick" Tryon appears is the 1861 Census as six years old, but he also appears in the 1871 census in the same family (variant spelling of surname), aged 11, which suggests he was 6 months, not six years, old in 1861.

His death record gives his age as 12 years 3 months and cause of death as drowning. The death record next to his has the same date, cause of death and reported by the same person (Rev. Sixsmith) and belongs to William Wubb or Webb, aged 28, yeoman, suggesting that the drowning was either part of a larger accident or else that William Webb had tried to save Richard and had himself drowned in the attempt.^[1]
