Biography
William was born in 1768. He is the son of William Griffin Turner and Nancy Brashier. William is sometimes attributed the middle name Brashier or Brasher, though whether he used this name in his lifetime is unknown. William is believed to have been born in Greenville, South Carolina. He married Lucy, who is variously referred to as McAdams, Cochran and unknown. William died 1835 in Jefferson County, Alabama and was buried in what is now East Lake Cemetery, Birmingham County, Alabama but was previously Ruhama Cemetery. [1]
