Hermann Uding moved his family from Dinslaken, Germany to the Netherlands about 1660. Wonder why he would do that. From then the descendants of these Udings would live in Netherlands until a few emigrated to America in 1800's and then my grandfather (Herman Gerard Uding) and his family which included my father (Herman Gerard Uding, Jr.) in 1912.
