Little is known about Jane (Unknown). She was probably born in England about 1603. Her parents and background are not known, however, U S and International Marriage Records show her as Jane Post, while New England Marriages prior to 1700 Iprovides a DOB of 1603, [1][2]
Jane was married to Edward Oates in England about 1631 and came with him to Cambridge about 1640. [1][2]
She died in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts in 1691.

I'm related to Edward Oakes (1604 - 1689), and one thing I've discover about him -- contrary to what everyone thinks -- is that his wife's maiden name wasn't "Post." Her first name was "Jane," but no one really knows her last name. Moreover, his place of birth/christening probably wasn't St. Margaret's parish in London, either.
