Biography

Birth
Alice Louisa, the daughter of James Walter Austin and his wife May, née Baxter, whose marriage had been registered at Rotherham, Yorkshire, in the second quarter of 1918,[1] was born at Catcliffe, Yorkshire, on 19 March 1991.[2]

1921 Census
In 1921 Alice Louisa was living with her parents and younger sister Edith Ethel at 30 Main Street, Catcliffe.[3]

1939 Register
In 1939 Alice Louisa was living at 34 Uplands Drive, Grantham, Lincolnshire, with her mother May, younger brother Joseph Walter, and two others. Alice Louisa was a domestic servant.[4]

Marriage
Alice Louisa married Edward Clarke, their marriage being registered at Grantham in the fourth quarter of 1939.[5]
