Biography

Gerrit van Rijswijk was born to Johannes van Rijswijk and Neeltje van Lienden on the 22nd of April, 1781, and he was baptised on the 29th[1].

Gerrit married Mensje van Jaarsveld on the 15th of March, 1807, in Eck en Wiel. The marriage certificate itself contains much info such as birthdates and birthplaces of the bride and groom, and dates of the three notices, which were the 22nd of February, the 1st of March, and the 8th of March[2].

Gerrit Rijswijk died in Utrecht on the 28th of February, 1835, at the age of 54[3].
