Biography

Susannah Vestal was born on the 15th of November, 1828 in Surry, North Carolina. Her parents were John Vestal and Rachael Hobson who were married on the 27th of September, 1822 in Surry, North Carolina. Susannah had six siblings.

Susannah married Christopher Columbus Horn Sr. on the 1st of January, 1849 in Buchanan, Missouri. Together the had ten children: Amanda Rebecca, Lorenzo Down, Napoleon Bonaparte, Elisa Jane, Louisa Josephine, Christopher Columbus Jr., Susan D., Thomas Jackson, Nora F. and Simeon Vestal Horn.

By 1860 the family was living in Mt. Pleasant Township, Kansas. Susannah passed away on the 1st of March, 1875 in Atchison, Kansas.^[1]
