Rupert Georg von Trapp was born in Austria on 1 November 1911 and is the child of Baron Georg von Trapp and Agatha Whitehead. He is the eldest child of the von Trapp family.
Rupert was one of the performers for the von Trapp Singers. He was also the first to leave the group, as he pursued a medical degree in college.[1]
