Biography
Eve Vrooman was married to Derick A. Groot. Their daughter Rachel was born 23 November 1804.[1]
Her husband died in 1811. In his will, he directed that the income of his real and personal estate should go to his "beloved wife Eve" for the duration of her widowhood.[2]
She is buried in Niskayuna Reformed Church Cemetery in Schenectady County, New York. Her gravestone is adjacent to the stone for Derick A. Groot. The inscription on her stone states that she died March 1, 1826 "in the 55th year of her age."[3]
