Biography
Miriam Wajsfelner Mantel was born in 1893 in Germany today Wrocław Poland. She died in 1942. She was daughter of Salomon Zalmo Wajsfelner and Laja Wajsfelner.
She was sister of Brona Brakha Wainbaum; Chaja Sznicer; Ester Weichman; Herszel Wajsfelner; Jadzia Wajsfelner; Balbina Wajsfelner; Dvoira Dora Grylak and Adolf Wajsfelner.
She was married to Dawid Szoel Mantel they were the parents of Raizel Ruzia Lachman; Bernard (Berek) Mantel; <private> Brandwein (Mantel); Henia/Henusia Mantel; Herszlik Henius Mantel; Khaia Marin (Mantel); Ruth Wysoki (Mantel) and <private> Merin (Mantel). She was a Grocery store co-owner with Dawid. She too was part of the Theodor Herzl Movement, who was known as the father of modern political Zionism and formed a Zionist Organization [1].
Miriam went into hiding, she was then arrested and placed in the Czestochowa concentration camp. She was then deported to Treblinka Extermination Camp where she died.
Miriam Wajsfelner Mantel was killed 1943 at Treblinka Extermination Camp, age 50.
