Zalmo Wajsfelner was born in 1854 in Poland. He died in 1942. He was the son of Mortka Weysfelner and Laja Wajsfelner
Zalmo was an Agriculturist, married to Laja Wajsfelner and had nine children.
Father of Brona Brakha Wainbaum; Chaja Sznicer; Ester Weichman; Miriam Mantel; Herszel Wajsfelner; Jadzia Wajsfelner; Balbina Wajsfelner; Dvoira Dora Grylak and Adolf Wajsfelner. He was brother of Michal Weysfelner and Berek Wajsfelner. He lived in Puszczew [1] before the war and in Częstochowa,Częstochowa, Kielce,Poland during the war.
He was part of the Theodor Herzl organization; known as father of modern political Zionism. Zalmo was taken to a ghetto, most likely the Klobuck Ghetto and later deported to Treblinka Extermination Camp.
Zalmo Wajsfelner was killed 1942 at Treblinka Extermination Camp, age 88.

Ruth Mantel Wysoki, his grandaughter, who gave the testimony is a survivor who went through a camp, a ghetto, forest and went into hiding during the war.
