Eugene was born and baptized on 16 July 1869 in Dudley, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States to Michael Ward and Elizabeth Hudson.^[1][2][3]

Eugene died at age 81 years 9 months on 7 May 1951 in Jenkins County, Georgia.^[4] He was buried in Payne's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.^[5]
