Biography
Eve (Warlick) Summey was part of a Southern Pioneer Family.
Eve was born on February 20, 1750[1]. She married John Martin Shuford (1744-1780) about 1769. They had at least seven children:
- Jacob Shuford, b 12 Feb 1770, m Margaret Hoyle, d 1 Apr 1844[2]
- John Shuford, b 1772
- Elizabeth Shuford, b 1774
- Martin (Warlick?) Shuford, b 24 July 1776, d 17 June 1837
- Daniel Shuford, b 1778
- Phillip Shuford, b 1781 (after his father's death)
After the death of her first husband, she married Jacob Sumney in 1785.[3][4]. Their children included:
- George Summey, b 1786
- Peter Summey, b 1789
- Barbara Summey, b 1791
Eve passed away on 24 January 1822.[5]
