Biography

Arthur was born in 1864 at 34 Gaol Street, Great Yarmouth. He was baptised 25 July 1870 at Ashby with Thurne church age 6. His mother Mary Ann, must have returned from Northampton for this event. In spite of Robert Warnes being stated as Arthur’s father on the birth certificate the name of Miles appears as a middle name as would go on to happen for all Mary Anne’s children.

His father is recorded as Robert Warnes, general labourer. Arthur’s occupation was as a tramway motorman.

Arthur married Fanny Loveday in April 1885 but she died a year later.

Louisa Gooch and family were resident at 11 Greyhound Opening, Tinklers Lane, Norwich when Edith Louisa Gooch died in 1893. Arthur and Fanny were also living in Tinklers Lane in 1886 when Fanny died.

He married Sarah Body on 13 November 1887, witnesses were his sister Louisa And Herbert Gooch the great grandparents of the profile manager.

He passed away on 27 October 1908 in Ipswich aged 44 years. His widow Sarah Warnes was the informant.
