Samuel Holland was trying to interest some of the former soldiers in Quebec to settle in his Lot on Prince Edward Island. A document entitled "Articles of agreement indented and concluded between Captain Samuel Holland Surveyor general for His Majesty's Northern District of North America on the one part and William Warren, Jacob Stagman, Henry Gouldrup, Daniel McCann and Thomas Shatforth on the other part" dated April 25 1768 conveyed land on the Tryon River to these men. Research Notes

Removed reference to "List of shareholders in the Commercial Bank of Canada as on the 5th October, 1867 " - it does include a William Warren, but this man was not alive in 1867

Also removed reference to marriage to Blanche Landeryou - that William Warren stayed in Cornwall.

Had to have died before June 1798, because his will was presented for probate in April 1798. Find a Grave entry not based on an actual gravestone.

Warren-8509 and Warren-3644 appear to represent the same person because: Fairly clear duplicate. Same dates, same spouse, same rank, seems to be the same person. so merge them.
