Robert Waterman, the son of Robert Waterman and Elizabeth Bourne, was born in Hingham about 1652.
He married Susanna Lincoln on 30 Sept 1675 at Hingham. She was the daughter of Sgt. Daniel Lincoln. She died on 10 Feb 1795/96. Robert and Susanna had eight children:
Susanna, May 4, 1677. m. Jan. 16, 1704-5, Ephraim Nichols.
Josiah, Nov. 23, 1687. m. Feb. 20, 1711-12, Elizabeth Marsh; settled in Weymouth; will dated at Weymouth 18 Sept. 1772, proved 6 Aug 1773
An infant, b. and d. 8 Feb. 1690-91.
An infant, , d. 23 Sept. 1694.
Robert married, second, Sarah Lewis Lincoln, the widow of Thomas Lincoln and the daughter of James and Sarah (Lane) Lewis. Robert and Sarah had three children born in Hingham:
Lydia, b. Hingham on 13 May 1700; m. Samuel Capen 29 March 1722
