Bio
Mary Cogswell Webster was born in 1852 in Kentville, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Edwardina Barclay and Henry. She married Joseph Hogg in September 1871 in her hometown. They had seven children in 20 years, two of which died of diphtheria in 1880. She died on November 4, 1904, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 52.
