Ethel was born in Canterbury, New Zealand in 1879, the daughter of Robert Weedon and Maria Dobson.[1][2] She became a high school teacher.[3] She married William Owen in Durban, Natal, South Africa on 30 May 1911.[4] She died in 1974 in Meirionydd, Merionethshire, Wales.[5]
