Biography

Johann Adam was a son of Johann Philipp Weimar and Margaretha, who lived at Klein-Gumpen, in the Neunkirchen parish, about five kilometers southeast of Neunkirchen. He married Anna Eva Muth in 1716 and lived at Klein-Gumpen. A death date for Johann Adam has not been found but Anna Eva was a widow, when she died in 1683. The family name is generally spelled "Weimar" in earlier and later records, but the scribe who recorded the births and marriages during the period in which Johann Adam's children were born, spelled the name "Weimer."
