Biography
Thomas was the second son of Arthur Wells and Rebecca Groesbeck Wells. Raised by his stepfather, John Hendricks, Thomas became a shipwright in Philadelphia; he was married to Rebecca ___ [Unknown], and was apparently well-to-do. His name appears in several local Pennsylvania documents before his death in June 1750.[1]
