Biography

George West was born in Yorkshire, England.
George was born in Kexby, Yorkshire, England, and was baptised in 1803 in Catton, Yorkshire. He was the son of Peter West and Elizabeth Clark.[1][2]

In 1826 George married Mary Cook in Barmby on the Moor, Yorkshire.[3] In 1851 George farmed 21 acres of land in Wilberfoss, Yorkshire. His sister, Ann, kept house.[4] By 1861 George had expanded his land-holding to 40 acres.[5]

George died in 1869 at the age of 65[6] and was buried in Wilberfoss.[7]
