Mary was born on 16 Sept 1861 in Cincinnati, Ark and died on 1 Jan 1909 in Fayetteville, Ark. She was the daughter of James West and Rebecca Crawford.

She married John Campbell Mithcell-(1849-1916), and together they had these known children listed below;

Mrs. J.C. Mitchell, who had been an invalid for five years past, died Friday at her home in Fayetteville. Deceased was a native of Washington County and was born near Cincinnati September 16, 1861. She was the only daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Jane West. She was married to Prof. Mitchell in 1882 and is survived by him and four children.
