Amanda was born in 1818. She probably met William Kimball at Bedford where she would have visited her grandparents. In the 1870 Census (page 33), they were living in Brooks Township, Newaygo County, Michigan.
She was widowed in 1870. On 01 December 1879, the widow Amanda petitioned the Court that "some suitable person" be named to administer the estate of William Kimball Sr. It is not yet known why it was not administered in 1870. On 22 January 1880, Amanda was named administratrix of the estate. On 02 February 1880, David Millard and George W. Barnes were appointed appraisers of the estate and they made an inventory on 16 February 1880 (see his profile). She was living with her son David Parker Kimball during the 1880 Census (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/47405079:6742?_phsrc=rSq777&_phstart=successSource&gsfn=david&gsln=kimball&ml_rpos=1&queryId=32ceb3fc7adb736767e96b146047d812)
On 13 April 1881, George Kimball was appointed guardian to two youngest sisters Lydia and Lucinda (being minors with property which he possessed, although both were already married). George Kimball, Galen Northrop, and Ethan Westbrook paid a bond of $140.
Amanda died on 07 May 1882, Fremont, Michigan.
