Biography
Rossie was born in 1907 according to the 1910 census [1] and her death certificate. [2] She was the daughter of Thomas Whitfield and Laura Carver. She passed away in 1923 at the young age of 16. Her death certificate states that she died from complications of a ruptured appendix.

Research Notes
Rossie Belle was three years of age when the 1910 census was taken. The year of birth on the Death Certificate is 1907. The grave marker says 1909, which appears to be a mistake. [1] The 1907 birth year is based on public record and is correct.
