Biography
Ann Wiggins, baptised 3 May 1829, Templemichael, Co. Longford, daughter of George Wiggins (shoemaker) and Jane Malady.[1]
She travelled to Australia with her younger sister, Kate, aboard the "Bee", arriving on 6 Jan 1856. The passenger lists confirm her parents as George and Jane, who were both then still living in "Edwardstown", and note that Ann could both read and write and was planning to undertake work in the Colony as a nursemaid.[2]
