Hannah married George Leather on 9 Feb 1802 at St Elphin's Church in Warringotn, Lancashire. Both were of the local parish. The witnesses were William Roylance and Thomas Parson.
By June 6th 1841, Hannah was living with her niece and nephew Thomas and Margaret Heys in Thatto Heath, Eccleston, Lancashire. Hannah was of independent means; Thomas was working as a stone mason.
By March 30th 1851, she was still with Thomas and Margaret in Eccleston. (Thomas was recorded as Henry for some reason, and Hannah's surname as Latham). Her occupation was recorded as "Old Age"! She was also erroneously recorded as unmarried rather than widowed.
Hannah died in 1855 in Prescot district; her age was recorded as 78.
Research Notes
Margaret Heys - nee Surman - is thought to have been the daughter of Hannah's presumed sister Sarah (Williamson) Surman, based on marriage and census records. Heys was a common local surname, but Surman and Williamson were not.
