Biography

Mary (Childers) Womack was a Virginia colonist.

Mary was born about 1735 in North Carolina. Her parents are at this time unknown. She is said by some to have died in 1845 in McMinn County, Tennessee, however this must refer to another Mary Womack. This Mary would have been 110 years old at death.

Mary Childers is said to have married Jacob Womack. There is a disagreement as to the name of Jacob's wife. Some, including Jacob's Find A Grave Memorial #136931639, believe Jacob's wife was Sarah Johnson, daughter of Harold Johnson. Research should be done to determine the correct wife.
