Biography

Martha Wood, the daughter of George and Susanna, was born on 10 September 1797 and was baptised on 10 October 1797 in St Mary's Church, Barnsley, West Riding, Yorkshire, England.^[1]

Martha Wood of this parish, a Spinster married Thomas Hewitt by Banns on 23 October 1814 in St John the Baptist's Church, Royston, West Riding, Yorkshire, England.^[2] Their marriage witnesses were William Guest and George Rodwell.

Thomas Hewitt and Martha had the following children;
