Died 3 Sep 2003. Kentville, NS. Cause: Cancer of the liver.

Event: DEGREE IN MEDICINE FROM DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY,HALIFAX,NS. EDUC Served in the R.C.A.F as an observor in the Azores and in England. Military from 0194 to 1943.

Note: Grant began his career with Canadian National Telegraphs but in April,1941 joined the R.C.A.F. and served overseas as an Observer in the Azores and in England .He met Pauline,a Sergeant in the R.A.F.Pauline was an NCO and supposedly an Officer was not to mingle with the CO'S. They managed to overcome this and they were married in England June 1945 .Grant returned to Canada and in the fall of 1945 Pauline came to Canada as a "War Bride". Following his discharge,Grant returned to school at Dalhousie University in Halifax,NS. where he graduated in 1953 with his Medical Degree. He practiced at Kentville for 27 years as a family doctor until 1982 .He then went to Dartmouth and became a staff member at the Nova Scotia Hospital .From there he went into full time practice at the Dartmouth Medical Centre and after his retirement from there he and Pauline returned to Kentville to enjoy their retirement years .Both took an active part in the Community Pauline is a well known artist in the Valley .Grant enjoyed fishing , winemaking and reading .In the summer of 2002 he fell ill with Liver cancer and died a few months later......... 2 Sources on Grant's Family: Grant and Pauline Worthylake.
