Rudolf Otto was born in 1924. He was the son of Christian Wyss and Alma Wyss. He was baptised on 26. July 1925, probably in Biglen. He first did an apprenticeship as a butcher, but had to give up his profession due to health problems. He then worked as a tanner. During his life, Otto was active in the samaritan association, in the cooperative ("Konsumverein") in Worb and in the municipal council in Biglen. Otto married Idy Vogt in 1949, they had one son who died during birth and two daughters who are still living. Otto passed away in 1973 at age of only 49 years, caused by leukemia.
His Heimatort was Arni in Canton Berne, Switzerland.
