Biography

George Alexander Young, child of Alfred Alexander Young & Catherine Sutherland, was born on 29 March 1902 and baptised on 4 February 1903 in Waterloo, Québec (Quebec), Canada. [Note: Ancestry has a transcription error in the birth and baptismal dates. Dates and names included in this bio are from the handwritten baptismal record.]^[1]

In the 1911 census George was the single son of Alfred Young in Shefford Sub-Districts 1-46, Quebec, Canada.^[2]

In the 1921 census George (age 19), was the single son of Alfred and Catherine Young at 88 Court St, Shefford, Quebec, Canada. He worked on his father's farm.^[3]

In the 1931 census George (age 29) was the single son of Catherine Young in Waterloo, Quebec, Canada. Along with his widowed mother, George lived with three teenage siblings. He was an electrician with an electric power company.^[4]

George died in 1986 and was buried in Waterloo, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada.^[5]
