Henry Johan Heinrich Zearing was born on 26 September 1783, in Shiremanstown, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, Johan Heinrich Zehrung Jr, was 23 and his mother, Marie Elizabeth Rupp, was 20. He was christened on the 2nd of November 1783 St John's Church, Jonestown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

Marriage and Children

He married Margaret Ely in 1806. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. The sons were Jacob, Henry and John; and the daughters were Mrs. Monosmith, Mrs. Templin, and Margaret, the last named dying unmarried. http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch
