Mexican-American War category error

Question

I have an error using top level category. I believe it is caused by the Mexican-American War sticker.

Could someone familiar with this war please fix the sticker on the profile of Pitcairn V Morrison.

If you go to the edit mode, you will see the error listed. The profile needs a different (lower level) category for the Mexican American War than the one I used.

I think it is fixed. I reset the error. If I'm wrong, it will trigger again when the system runs an error check again.

That looks like the same category I originally put on the profile. No one had changed it after that.

It is still in a category that says no individual profiles should be placed here. I still need to have the category corrected.

It looks like he served in the 4th US Infantry and (later) in the 8th US infantry. Am I reading that correctly? So, is the key question which regiment he should be placed in?

The rule for categories generally is 'However, a profile should never be in more than one category in the same hierarchy.' (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Categorization#How_to_Categorize_a_Profile). So I assume he should be in only one. I didn't see an answer in the help for military categories (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:MilitaryHelp-Military#Third_Level_-_Primary_Categories_for_Profiles)
