1720 -- both Richard's mother (January 22) and father (April 6) died. [1]

Richard Bland was married three times. He only had children from his first marriage to Anne Poythres who was the daughter of Peter Poythress. [2]

March 21, 1729 -- Richard Bland and Anne Poythress married at Jordan's Point, near Hopewell, Prince George county, Virginia. [3]

Richard and Anne Poythress Bland had 12 children: six sons and six daughters. [4]

1775-1776 - Richard Bland of Jordan's Point was a member of the old Congress [1]

Richard Bland II was buried at Jordan's Point on 'Thursday, November 7th 1776, aged 66." [5] [6]

I don't know who (or when) Richard Bland II's name was edited to include the middle name "Osborne," but he had no middle name at all, as voluminous public documents, including those in his own hand, prove. Further, he had no ancestors or relatives with the surname "Osborne" going back to the 1400's.
