Biography
Ryan Thomas Gosling was born on 12 Nov 1980 in London, Ontario, Canada,
Both of his parents are of part French Canadian descent, along with some German, English, Scottish, and Irish. They were Mormons and he has said that the religion influenced every aspect of their lives. They "moved around a lot" because his father worked as a traveling salesman for a paper mill. His parents divorced when he was a child.
He performed from an early age. He began his career as a child actor on the Disney Channel's "Mickey Mouse Club" (1993–1995) and went on to appear in other family entertainment programs. He dropped out of high school at the age of seventeen to focus on his acting career.
He is a Canadian actor, director, writer and musician.
