Genealogy Notes

Oliver (4) Dakin, was born March 30, 1727. He was a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War, and responded to the Lexington Alarm, April 19, 1775, marching on Cambridge as a Lieutenant in Captain Haines' company. He married Betsey (5) Keyes, the daughter of Cyprian (4) and Hepzibah (Howe) Keyes. Cyprian (4) Keyes was a private in the Continental Army and served from May 20, 1777, to January 18, 1778. Cyprian Keyes was born September 15, 1706, at Marlborough, Mass., and died June 18, 1802, at Boylston, Mass. One of the sons of Oliver Dakin was Joseph (5) (Wentworth - p41).^[59]
