I'm looking at the Joseph Schaner line D.O.B. 1842, Detroit, MI. On his son (oldest son) John I noticed you have a middle initial (W). What documentation do you have that would show this initial? Because I have (H) as John's middle initial.
Appreciate the help,
Yvonne
I have DNA directing me straight to you!!! I could use you help if you have time.
My Grandpa was James Nell Weaver-Pless. James biological father was Newton A Jacob ( Jeff) Pless Jr. And his significant other was Euphania Ann Ridgway/Taft/Rogers. We have the records from Franklin County Tennessee Courts as well as have proven through DNA on Ancestry, now we are trying to prove through DNA on Wikitree. It would really help me out if you would link to my DNA.
I am 85 years old. I tested on Ancestry. My daughter Terri tested on both Ancestry and 23andMe. My father and mother both were very well known and respected in the Winchester, Franklin County, Tennessee area where they both were born and raised. My dad was Earl Altaman/ Alganon Weaver-Pless and my mom was Wilma Davilla Snell. Dad had no idea growing up he was a Pless. His father James ( JN) as he was called was raised by his grandparents- Mary Ann Polly Cole and her 2nd husband- Johnny Weaver. But James actually thought Polly & Johnny were his biological parents. Polly and Johnny had many Biological Weaver kids together, and so JN was raised with them as if he was their sibling. When I was growing up, we never knew who my dad’s grandparents were and never visited them. It was not a subject talked about. My dad Earl and mom Wilma had me, my sister Verna Mae and my brother JC. Dad was a farmer but also a music director at our church. Mom and dad sang and had a radio show . They traveled all over singing Gospel Music. They had a Gospel Album. They were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in the 70’s after they died. They were pillars of the community. James Nell Weaver married Elizabeth Josephine Shasteen. Josy as she was called was from the famous religious Rev. John Ten Shillings Bell Chastain Family . He was my 5th great grandpa. Very famous. His family is traced back to the Huguenot’s that came to America from Geneva, Switzerland. I am going to join the Huguenot’s Society, in the Process. I really hope that you will be willing to help me by sharing your family and family DNA to help me prove Our family is indeed Pless’s. Would enjoy hearing all about your family. Blessings & thanks for any help sharing your DNA! Kathalene from Alabama

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate French and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.
It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:
