There is a tombstone in the Akers - Music Cemetery in Bonanza, Floyd County, Kentucky for an individual named William AKERS who served in Company A of the 39th Kentucky Infantry that states that the buried William AKERS was born in January 1835 and died in March 1917.[4] Further research is needed to confirm the buried William is the same as the profiled.
