• No sure source but it's suggested that his middle name was "Wesley".
• The book "Aldermans in America" says that he was "a reverend", that he was "Elisha Jr", and that he was "born in the Genessee Valley of New York State"^[3]
• Marriage: 17 Oct 1803 in Genesee County, New York to Mariah E Vandermark do Stephen & Alena (unknown) Vandermark^[4][3] of Caneadea, Allegany, New York (see "Van de Mark of Van Demark ancestry", page 122).
• 1810 -Elisha & Mariah emigrated to what is now Morgan Co with 17 family members; floating down the Allegheny River to Pittsburgh upon a lumber raft loaded with household effects and families, and then via the Ohio River to Marietta, Ohio--nearly 500 mile voyage. --uninhabited country--traded the lumber for 640 acres in Homer Twp.^[5][6].
