It appears that the headstone may not belong to Mercy Allen per familysearch she married Eliakim Root and died in 1728. This profile needs to be merged with Allen-102196 as they have the same birth date.

You are probably correct. The find-a-grave stone that this is based on only shows "M A" and extrapolates based on people with the initials "M A" living in the area at the time. I have suggested a correction on find-a-grave.
