I am a retired secondary teacher. I studied at Colorado College (Colorado Springs, CO), BA; Southern Oregon State University, MAT; Cal-State, Bakersfield; University of Oregon; and Rogue Community College. I have been doing genealogy for about 15 years. I managed a small local history museum for about eight years, so I have experience with local history research and old photographs. Almost all my genealogical research has been done on the Internet. I have a private tree on Ancestry.com and am willing to give access to those who contact me. My user name on Ancestry is Martha_Arman. My current research is in the 1700s. Surnames I am now actively researching are: ARMAN (North Carolina/ Virginia); HARMAN / HARMON (Virginia/ North Carolina); DOLIN/ DOLLIN / DOWLIN (North Carolina); WATTS (North Carolina) DUKE (Tennessee/ Alabama/ North Carolina/ Kentucky); BROWN (North Carolina); BRIGGS (Mississippi/ Tennessee/ Virginia); MOORE (Kentucky); STANDLEY (Kentucky/ Virginia)

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
See you in the branches.
