Fanny could have passed away sometime before March 24, 1784, as evidenced by Machah & Samuel Dunaway initiating a suit against the estate of Col. William Cole for property which - by the terms of husband William Vaughan's will - they would not have entitlement to until after Dorithy had died.
A memorial was placed for her with death date given as 1811 at Bedford County, Virginia.[1]
Slaves
In his will, her father left her a slave "Cillia, now in her possession"[2]
Research Notes
This link https://www.myheritage.com/names/drury_vaughn suggests that Dorithy's middle, and preferred name, was Frances - "Drury Vaughn was born circa 1755, at birth place, Virginia, to William Vaughn and Dorothy "Fanny" Vaughn".
Dorithy's last name is given as "Barksdale" on the Familysearch.org pages, but without any supporting documentation; nor with any posted trees which would seem to accommodate Dorithy's inclusion.[3]
