Nathaniel Barksdale was born in 1760 in Virginia and was the son of Nathaniel Barksdale and Mourning Dickerson.
He married Anne Garden.Nathaniel served in the American Revolution with the rank of Private in the Virginia Militia.[1] He is on the list of Qualified Voters in Halifax County, Virginia, for the 1808 and 1812 elections.[2]
He moved to Rutherford County, Tennessee[3] and died there in 1830.
In his father's will, Nathaniel was left the slaves "Jacob and Daniel."
In 1830 Census, Natt Barksdale held 9 slaves in Rutherford County, Tennessee[3]
