William and Mary Ann Barratt and their family were New Zealand Company emigrants to Wellington, New Zealand in the ship London leaving London, England on January 1st 1842; arriving Port Nicholson, Wellington, New Zealand on the 1st May 1842.

From the London's passenger list we learn that William and Mary were both 33 years of age, William was a painter & glazier by trade, and they had with them 1 boy aged 4 years and 5 girls aged 9, 7, 6, 3, years with baby Ellen only 3 months old. [2]

He passed away about 1857. [3]
