Kindrick M. C. Beasley was born about 1812 in North Carolina, United States. This date is an estimate based on his age of 38 given on the 1850 United States Census.[1] His parents were Joshua Beasley (1784-1877) and Judith (Ferrell) Beasley (abt.1785-bef.1869). This Beasley lineage is well-documented and confirmed by YDNA testing which has been done as part of the Beasley Surname Study's DNA Project administered by Mark Beasley and Douglas Beezley.[2][3]
Other sources supporting Kindrick's parentage include that brothers, K. M. C. Beasley, B. G. Beasley, and E. O. Beasley, filed an Administrators Bond for the Estate of Joshua Beasley in Johnston County, North Carolina, August 6, 1877.[4] The parent of Kindrick's brother, E. O. Beasley, were listed on his Death Certificate as Joshua Beasley and Judy Farrell[5]
Kindrick Beasley was married to Bartheney Bryan on 06 August 1835 in Johnston County, North Carolina.[6][7]
In 1840, he and his family were enumerated in the Johnston County, North Carolina Census. At the time, there were six people living in the household, presumably Kindrick and his wife, and four children, three of whom were presumably their daughters, and one was presumably their son.[8]
In the 1850 United States Census for Johnston County, North Carolina, "Kinderick" Beasley and his wife "Barthena" were enumerated with children John (age 14), Nancy (age 13), Martha (age 12), and Jane (age 11.)[1]
In 1860, "Kendrie Beasly" and "Thena" were enumerated with Joseph, age 7, who was presumably their son.[9]
In 1870 Kendrick Beasley and "Bartheny" were enumerated with Joseph, age 14.[10]
Kindrick M. C. Beasley passed away after 1870 when he appeared in the United States Census, but before 1879 when his Will was probated.
