He served in the United States Army in World War-1, between 1917 to 1918. His wife Lucinda Ethel, passed away on February 25, 1918, in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, at the age of 28. He then married Dorice Rowena "Dora R (Tousley) Goerke aka Beebe, on December 25, 1918, in Independence, Jackson, Missouri, when he was 29 years old and they had three children together. His son George Russell Beebe, was born on October 18, 1920. His son Charles "Glen" Beebe, was born on December 16, 1921, in Independence, Jackson, Missouri. Charles Wesley's father George Washington Beebe, Sr, passed away on October 07, 1923, in Independence, Jackson, Missouri, at the age of 83. Charles Wesley's mother Abigail (Puckett) Beebe, passed away on April 15, 1925, in Culbertson, Nuckolls, Nebraska, at the age of 78. His daughter Dorthea Ellen (Beebe) Garver, was born on February 25, 1931, in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri.
He died on May 24, 1944, in Independence, Jackson, Missouri, at the age of 54, and was buried there, at Mound Grove Cemetery, on June 05, 1914.
