Biography

1776 Project
Nicholas Bishop performed Patriotic Service in South Carolina in the American Revolution.

He served in the American Revolution as a juror and a prisoner of war.[1]

Nicholas Bishop died Craven Co., SC, USA (Possibly Camden District, Chester Co., SC)

In his will, signed on May 11, 1778 in Craven County, Nicholas Bishop named the following:

  • wife, Hannah
  • son, Henry
  • daughter, Dorcas
  • son, William
  • daughter, Hannah
  • son, James
  • son, Nicolas
  • son, John (a minor)
  • sons William and Nicolas named executors
The will was proved April 21, 1787[2]

Ran across what appears to be information on this family, including a copy of the LW&T of Nicholas Bishop, written May 11, 1778 and proved April 21st, 1787. (with sources) One difference in children, a Henry is listed and no Edmund. I have no connection to the family, so will leave it to managers to decide how/if to use it.  :) (also I have no time)
