Elizabeth Harrison has no direct connection with the Harrisons of Maryland and of the families of Benjamin (signer of the D of I), Benjamin (Governor of VA), William Henry (9th President), or Benjamin (15th President). The connection to these Harrisons is through the wife of William Henry Harrison, Anna Tuthill Symmes. She was the daughter of John Cleves Symmes and Anna Tuthill. Anna Tuthill was in turn the daughter of Henry Tuthill and Phebe Horton. Phebe was the daughter of Caleb Horton and Caleb and Phebe (Terry) Horton had nine children, including Richard Horton who married Elizabeth Harrison.
