Benjamin James Callaway does not exsist in order to fit in your time line. A Benjamin Calloway born much later goes by Benjamin C. Calloway on all documents. No Benjamin James on any documents or in the Callaway family Ass. list on genealogy.

Great information but where do we find the rest of the story? One question, James Calloway is not listed is there a reason? And where would I find the book Shawnee Heritage by Greene? Help me if you can

Don't waste your time. The Shawnee Heritage books are unsourced fiction created by Don Greene who thinks everyone was Shawnee. He has white people as Shawnee, Cherokee people as Shawnee, and completely made-up people as Shawnee. If anything in his books is accurate it's by accident.

Thanks for the info. I notice the book is 30 dollars. I just wonder how the author would know how much Indian everyone had and what tribe. Where is the information that the name was Red Wing? Also, I can not find where the name Morning Dove is either. I have no family history so asking for help. Thanks again.

Greene’s books are completely unsourced. He takes names from the Internet, censuses, email threads, etc. and invents Native connections - and often names - for them.

Calloway-275 and Callaway-209 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth year & location. It looks like the spelling should be "Callaway."
Calloway-229 and Callaway-209 appear to represent the same person because: The birth years are significantly off, but the family is the same. After some digging it is unclear, I suggest merging and documenting in the bio that more research is needed for the birth year
